Mitchell R. Carnes

Mr. Carnes prides himself on his ability to represent clients in a variety of practice areas while simultaneously understanding the intricacies required by each unique matter. Mr. Carnes practice areas include:

  • Corporate/Transactional business practice
  • Banking/Financial Institution practice
  • Employment and labor law

Prior to joining Dagger Law, Mr. Carnes worked as a clerk for The Honorable Dennis Adkins at the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Mr. Carnes received his Bachelor’s Degree, magna cum laude, from Wright State University. While at Wright State Mr. Carnes received a scholarship for academic excellence. He received his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

While in law school, Mr. Carnes was a Managing Editor of The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. Additionally, he placed in the top seven in his class in the Ohio State’s first year moot court competition. Mr. Carnes also served as the treasurer for Ohio State’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Mr. Carnes and his wife, Stacy, are residents of Lancaster. They are both sports fanatics—in their free time they enjoy supporting the Buckeyes, Bengals, Reds and Crew. Mr. Carnes also enjoys playing golf and hiking.
