Mr. Johnston, a Thornville, Ohio native, is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and the College of Law, University of Cincinnati. He served in the U.S. Army, Counter Intelligence Corps.

Mr. Johnston's practice focuses on estate planning, including wills and trusts, requiring innovative solutions to personal and family financial needs. Mr. Johnston has wide experience in the organization and operation of public foundations and has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fairfield County Foundation.

His practice also entails working with small business entities, such as limited partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. He has an extensive probate practice, representing fiduciaries of estates and trusts in the Central Ohio area. Johnston also has extensive experience in negotiating oil and gas leases. He is a member of the Fairfield County, Perry County, Columbus, and Ohio State bar associations.
