Mr. Griffith,
originally from Portsmouth, Ohio, has lived in the Lancaster
area and practiced law with the firm since 1992. He received his
B.A. degree in history and English from Marietta College in
1987. He received his law degree from the University of Toledo
College of Law in 1991. While in law school, he served as a
member of the University of Toledo Law Review.
Mr. Griffith’s law
practice focuses on litigation including, but not limited to,
the areas of personal injury, construction law, business
disputes, employment matters and eminent domain. He has
litigated cases to successful conclusions where the amounts in
controversy range from $10,000.00 to several million. In recent
years, Mr. Griffith has won jury trials in Franklin, Scioto,
Athens, Morgan, and Fairfield counties involving utility company
trespass, coal company negligence, negligent hiring and
supervision of a teacher, negligent construction, breach of
contract, and eminent domain, all with successful verdicts in
six figures. He also has litigated disputes involving
substantial settlements in the areas of medical malpractice,
personal injury, and medical and/or faculty peer review.
Mr. Griffith is a
member of the Fairfield County and Ohio State bar associations.
He is also a member of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers and a
member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He has
been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a
National Civil Trial Advocate since 2004.
Mr. Griffith is a
member of the boards of directors of Lancaster Surge Baseball
and Lancaster Youth Travel Sports. He is a past member of the
boards of directors of the Fairfield Heritage Association, the
Fairfield County United Way Board of Review, and the Robert K.
Fox Family Y.
